I'm Back, People!

I know I disappeared for a while... life sometimes has a way of putting knitting in the backseat. Life and work have been crazy-pants, but I finally realized that it's important to make time for myself too. So, I've added knitting and reading back on my daily to-do list!

To celebrate my re-knittingness, I decided to break my yarn fast and use a LYS gift certificate I got for Christmas. I bought 6 skeins of a gorgeous 100% merino yarn and started working on Abalone, a super cute and (hopefully) simple pattern.

I'm about 1/5 of the way though so far, and I love watching the yarn's subtle color changes. I forgot how soothing knitting can be.
